Summer time/crit season townies are on!! Cruisy laps, good size bunch. If your keen you can follow some of the fast guys over Beacon Hill and the chase back to the main bunch.

Come road season and the focus shifts to the hills. An out and back including a 12km climb from Coramba to Ulong. The way out is undulating and scenic, everyone attacks the climb at there own pace and waits to re-group at the top. The descent is always enjoyable after 40 odd minutes of climbing. We once again re-group at the base of the mountain and prepare for the ride home.

The recovery ride for the week! Aahh!! An out and back along the banks of the Bellinger River. Most riders are on this ride for recovery and social reason, however dont be surprised if someone with fresh legs decides to wind it up a bit on the way home. Fear not, we all regroup at the Mailmans Track round-about and the Lyons Rd round-about and once againbrekky and coffee Split.

Bike route is part of Sawtell Repton Sawtell – powered by

From Split we head south down Lyons road and Pine Creek way. At Repton we head west on Northbank Road through the small hilly dairy farms. The road surface on Northbank road is quite bad so beware of unexpected pot holes. When we reach Bellingen we immediatley head east on Waterfall way. This is where the tempo normally picks up and a few bunches of differing abilities are formed. Everyone waits and re-gathers at the Mailmans track round-about for the final dash home along the new highway. Breakfast and coffee at split after.
